Carlyle Suites Hotel
By Dante Johnson (6th)

At the Carlyle Suites hotel the Ile Omode middle school students had two rooms reserved for them. The Carlyle Suites is just 3 blocks away from the Dupont Circle. Many places like the National Mall are a few blocks away.

There were five boys and four girls, but the boys had to get the smallest room. The outside of the hotel looked classic. It was so nice it made them want to stay there forever. In the hotel rooms there was a flat screen TV, a coffee table, and beds. In most of the rooms there are two beds and a kitchenette with a bathroom. They also had one flat screen TV with a toaster.

The hotel's room had two beds and when you slept on them it felt like you were sleeping on something firm. Some of the boys slept on the floor, some on the bed, and one on the pull out couch, but they tried to make it work. They were very thankful for their service.

The people at the front desk were very nice. The Carlyle Suites Hotel helped the Ile Omode middle school students by giving them directions on where to go and gave them a discount for a restaurant called the LeftBank. In the morning the Ile Omode middle school students would go to the sights that they needed to go to. Then they would go to the next event. Eventually lunch comes up and the Ile Omode students would eventually return back to the hotel and eat lunch. While they were at the hotel the boys would wrestle and watch television. Now they would go back out and go to their last event. After that they would come back to the hotel and they would write in their journals on how their day was.
